ANTÃO VAZ
This variety is exclusive to the Alentejo, where plantation has increased due to its recognized quality.
Average bunches with tiny grapes.
The wines have a citric colour and an average intense but very refined and complex aroma, where ripe tropical fruits predominate. They are soft to the palate, slightly acidic and well-structured, maintaining the refined and fruity touches of their aroma. Present a persisting and harmonious lasting taste.
ARINTO
Acknowledged variety all over the country, it is also known as Pedernã in other regions.
When young, the wines have a citric colour and their aroma develops from citric fruits – lime and lemon –, green apple and strong minerals hints. They evolve to honey aromas as they age. To the palate they are acidic and very fruity, with marked youthfulness.
ROUPEIRO
It’s the main white grape variety of the Alentejo, also known as Síria or Alvadurão in other regions.
This variety produces a low harvest. Bunches are average size with small yellowish grapes and very juicy pulp.
The wines have a citric colour and intense, refined and balanced aroma, with hints of floral, tropical fruits, citric, peach and melon. They are slightly acidic to the palate, with remarkable fruity and youthful characteristics.
